5:00 - The Plain Gold Band
6 pm - Tribute to Alonzo Weed
6:30 - The Ames-Bern Ridge Rounders
The Ames-Bern Ridge Rounders play vintage country, western swing, and blues with toe-tapping rhythms. Formed as a community music project in Amesville, Ohio, the band draws its name—and its members—from the neighboring townships of Ames and Bern in Athens County. A high-spirited ensemble with a passion for filling dance floors, the Ridge Rounders value music and community above all else.
The Plain Gold Band (AKA The Indescribables) - Reluctant frontman Roger Good brings his deep-catalog repertoire and melodic nuance to the stage, joined by Jeff Redefer and Mark Burhans—two outstanding musicians enhancing the evening. While not a permanent ensemble, this “ephemeral overdue confabulation” is united by mutual affection and respect for the inimitable Alonzo Weed. Expect soulful interpretations, underappreciated gems, and the kind of musical chemistry that needs no fixed name.
